Getting Started Guide
Thank you for considering JMJ Web Design for your web design needs. This guide will outline our standard operating policies to make the web design process run as smooth as possible for you.
We do not provide email services but depending on your need we recommend various 3rd party options
Zoho Mail – free hosted webmail with upgrade options available
JotForm – free hosted contact form services
Sendinblue – free smtp email with upgrade options available
Mailgun.com or Amazon SES – for affordable bulk email sending
For most projects we ask for a 50% down payment to get started and the remaining 50% upon completion. For larger projects over $2000 we are able to break the payment into thirds with a 33% down payment to get started, 33% payment at designated half way mark, and the remaining 34% due upon completion.
Once the website is complete we will provide free maintenance for the first 30 days – afterwards you will need to maintain log into your control panel to keep your website up to date.

Hosting & Domain Name
Hosting and domain names are a requirement for all websites – our base price includes website design and development services but does not include hosting and domain name. You are free to purchase a domain name from any registrar online and your hosting from any provider that you desire and we will build your website on the platform of your choice.
Recommended Hosting Provider: Digital Ocean (Free $100 Credit)
Recommended Domain Registrar: Godaddy.com
If you prefer not to handle any of the technical details that are associated with a website and a hosting account we also offer a managed hosting option that includes a free domain name. With this option we take care keeping your website online and up to date on your behalf – leaving you free to run your business while we focus on the technical stuff.
